The cabin is nicely outfitted and very well built.
2023 BMW X2 Powertrain Specs
Under the hood, the latest 2023 BMW X2 is powered by two engine options. Likewise, the same engines are available on the current model. The base unit available with the sDrive28i and xDrive28i models consists of a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that develops 228 horsepower.
The sDrive28i comes with a front-wheel-drive configuration (FWD), while xDrive features an all-wheel-drive (AWD). The more powerful engine powers the M35i model delivering an astonishing output of 301 horsepower. An all-wheel-drive system is standard in this model. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) revealed the fuel economy of this version, and it rated it with a reasonable 26 miles per gallon, which is only one mile per gallon thirstier than its 28i stablemates.
2023 BMW X2 Redesign
BMW has made a couple of changes to the 2023 BMW X2. As we mentioned, the latest edition sits on the same platform as its sibling BMW X1, but it’ s shorter by a few inches. Undoubtedly, the design is much more attractive than before, and BMW did a great job adding some sporty elements.
Basically, the sharp air intakes, a chiseled hood, and BMW’s iconic grilles make this SUV sportier. At the back, the X2 features the same wraparound LED taillights as the predecessor and the dual exhaust pipes. In addition, the new Extended Shadowline package is available, and it replaces exterior chrome trim with gloss-black finishes.
Interior Looks More Upscale
On the inside, the new generation 2023 BMW X2 features a more upscale styling that incorporates some of the premium materials. Moreover, compared to the outgoing model, the dashboard of the new one is slightly angled toward the driver for ease of use. Also, the center console is divided into three sections, separating the infotainment system and controls from the HVAC system.
On the tech front, the latest model hosts a much longer list of equipment than before. It features as standard an 8.8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a USB port, navigation, and satellite radio. Interestingly, Android Auto, for some reason, is not available on the X2.
